Choose Clean & Safe When Re-growing Your Edges

If you’re anything like me you already know that as Black women we are consistently trying product after product in the search for the one that is going to 1) help us regrow our edges to their natural luster and 2) keep us in that luscious place once achieved. Trial and error can be exhausting, so let me be a shining light for you. 

In my experience, most of the time any product I use to stimulate the growth of my edges is both thick & sticky and is also hard to apply in the normal course of the day. I’m looking at you Jamaican Castor Oil - and even though I think it has its place in this fight (hot oil mask, for example), it is just an overall mess when applying to your edges or bald spots once a day. 

It’s also not uncommon (at least for me) to try ten different products and still see zero to minimal results. Despite my commitment to the cause.

So when I first used Edge Naturale I was (slightly) more than skeptical. 

But that skepticism was quickly proven wrong. This product is creamy, smooth and easy to apply. I was sold on the texture alone.

It smells of a soft peppermint taffy (hello childhood feels) - without any trace of that awful chemical smell. 

Another positive is that I can apply it in the morning without making a mess and without making my hair look all cakey, greasy & ridiculous. 

The ingredient choice Edge Naturale has made to use peppermint oil is the holy grail. Peppermint oil is known to remove impurities and relaxes follicles - say hello to necessary! The peppermint also gives you a gentle tingle that lets me know the product is doing its job of encouraging my little hair follicles to come out and play. I mean, we honestly all do better when we feel loved - your hair follicles are no different. 

In the name of clean beauty, I have to appreciate that Edge Naturale uses ingredients that I can read and recognize. 

Pandemic or not, if you keep your hair in a bun - like I do nearly every day - or if braids, stress and alopecia have caused you  to thin around the edges, I encourage you to try this product. You won’t be disappointed.
